Alumni book signing at Bucknell University bookstore

Bucknell Alumni Sign Books at Reunion

Bucknell had not one but two authors signing books at the university book store this past Saturday. “Barnes & Noble at Bucknell University was honored to have alumni authors Mark Fadden ’95 and Scott Singer ’87 visit the store for a book signing event Saturday morning of Reunion Weekend,” said Bonnie Smith, Trade Book Manager. “It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with University alumni!”

Fadden’s novel, The Brink, is a topical thriller that has been described as The Da Vinci Code meets the movie National Treasure. It features a lost Constitution article and an intricate conspiracy tale that takes up where the recent financial meltdown left off. Singer’s book, How to Hit a Curveball, is a book that shows readers how to confront and overcome the unexpected in business.

The event was a bittersweet one for the staff at the bookstore, since it was the last signing before the campus location closes and moves to its new location in downtown Lewisburg. “As we move into our stunning new space on Market Street this month, we look forward to continuing this tradition of hosting authors, artists, and other special events in support of both Bucknell and the Lewisburg community,” said Smith.

The new bookstore will open the afternoon of Saturday, June 25 and will begin normal operating hours on Sunday, June 26.
